Pharmacists

Aqib Bashir – supports the practice by carrying out various medication related tasks. If you require a medication review or on going monitoring of your medication you may be seen by Aqib or one of our other Primary Care Network Pharmacists.

Health Visitors

Lyndsey Turnbull provides healthcare advice for expectant mothers and young children. They are based in Tyne View Children Centre every Wed, Thur and Fri. You can contact them on 0191 4335090.

Midwife

Claire Gray – our midwife is available every alternative Tuesday from 1:30 till 3:30pm, providing care before and after delivering your baby.

Primary Care Mental Health Workers and Counsellors

Our Primary Care Mental Health Workers are employed by Gateshead Talking Therapies . They provide support for those experiencing common mental health problems like anxiety, depression and stress. You can refer yourself to the service direct by calling 0191 283 2541 or alternatively you can speak to your GP.

Ashleigh Howie is a Counsellor employed by MIND. Counselling is intended to help you to deal with life’s difficulties and get your life back in order or back on track. It is an opportunity to talk about your troubles with a professional who has been trained to listen, to help you to understand your feelings and behavior better. If you would like to be referred for counselling, book an appointment with a GP. This service does not take self referrals.

District Nurse

District Nurses visit housebound patients who require general nursing services. You can contact them through the surgery.
